Around a week back I presented a short talk on WordPress in front my peers during ‘Social Computing’ period. It is one of the subjects where we learn about Web 2.0, the second stage of development of the Internet, characterized especially by the change from static web pages to dynamic or user-generated content and the growth of social media.
I was really not courageous enough to raise my hand when ma’am asked who was interested in speaking about WordPress but I couldn’t resist myself and put up my hand due to the love I had for WordPress. Though I can naturally speak many things about WordPress, I asked her to give me some time to prepare some short notes. But damn, basically I’m an introvert and when I went forward and started speaking I started sweating profusely. I couldn’t help myself from getting nervous. I was not able to maintain my calm and my casual talk changed into a read and recite talk. I felt really bad as my talk was not up to the mark.
The topic was so familiar but still I couldn’t perform well. Well, let us chuck it off now. At least I had the courage to give it a shot. May be I’ll improve as I keep learning from my mistakes. You can watch me speak below –

But before watching this video, remember that I’m an introvert and I fear standing in front of a large crowd; and this was one the first time I stood in front of a whole lot of not-so-familiar faces. Though the room was air-conditioned, I couldn’t hold my sweat. Now you may proceed and watch the video.
