The higher the traffic you can drive to your website, more are the chances for it to convert into sales and potential customers. If you’re thinking that driving traffic to your site isn’t a priority for you – you’re either lying or you’re plain stupid.

Lesser the time you take for brainstorming content for your posts, lesser will be its value to your potential readers. So, take your own sweet time and make a detailed sketch of it in your mind before beginning to write it down.

Also, harness the power of linking to internal and external content. Try to link to at least three of your own posts and two other external posts. When linking to an external site, try to link to sites with high authority (high quality/trustworthiness). This is because you don’t want to look shady in front of your readers and search engines.
Rethink Your Marketing Strategy
Have a look at your current strategy and create a list of what’s working and what’s not working. Try to understand what went wrong if a strategy is not working and try to change it rather than following the same mistake again and again.
Open up your site’s stats page and look at which posts are performing the best and understand what your readers interests are. Don’t create content which isn’t of interest to your readers – it is a waste of time, plus you’ll lose your reader’s interest. Creating new content based on your popular posts will also increase the time people spend on your website. This is because it will be of specific interest to them.
Also, try to understand at what time of a day or week your site is receiving much traffic or what time of the day the posts are popular with your readers. If your blog is popular on Sundays, try to post new content on Fridays or Saturdays. Always try to post one day prior to your most popular day. Getting in touch with powerful influencers has been never this easy – thanks to the internet and social media, you can easily approach them. Most of them read and reply to messages if they find it interesting. It all depends on how you approach them.
First of all, create a list of influencers you would like to approach. Then, create awesome content and promote these influencers on your posts. Now, it’s time for you to let them know you’ve promoted them in your posts. Influencers can easily make out whether you’re genuine or not with your thoughts. So, don’t act as if you have been following them for long if you clearly haven’t done the same. Moreover, remember that they’re not species from another planet, and speaking to them like friends is all what it takes to get started.
Subscribers are your best Friends
Who said email marketing is dead? It’s 2017 and still growing strong. Email subscribers are one of your most valuable subscribers as the posts get directly delivered to their personal mailbox. Many people don’t give a fuck about email lists in the beginning only to regret later on why they hadn’t started sooner.

Though I do agree that in this fast-paced world it is quite difficult to allocate some time for managing various tasks such as creating and marketing content, it is a must. You can either make use of tools like Hootsuite, IFTTT, HubSpot or Crowdfire to automate your marketing tasks or you can completely outsource content writing and marketing (if you’ve got enough budget). This can greatly help if you’re a business owner and you do not have time or budget to hire a dedicated person or team for that job.
