My story

Hey there, welcome to my blog. If you don’t know me yet, I am Antony Agnel – a blogger, web designer, and software engineer based out of Chennai, India.

I have been blogging since 2016 and playing around with WordPress even before that. I have got experience in content writing, search engine optimization, and digital marketing apart from building websites. It was 2015 when I first discovered WordPress and the vibrant community around it.

WordPress + Me = ❤️

I taught myself the basics of web design and kept building (and breaking!!!) websites as I learned how WordPress works. On one side I was learning WordPress and on the other side, I was learning web design, SEO, writing, and digital marketing without even realizing it.

I got my first job as an SEO Analyst right out of college and my second as a Content Writer at a reputed enterprise WordPress agency eight months after that.

If not for WordPress, I don’t know where I would be now or what I’d be doing.

What I do at work

Currently, I am working as a Software Engineer at Gartner in their Information Technology vertical.

Random stuff about me

Basically, I’m an introvert and my personality type is ‘ISTP-A’ (The Virtuoso). Just the thought of starting a conversation with someone new is a nightmare for me outside of work.

But it doesn’t mean that I don’t hang out with people at all. It just takes some time for me to get comfortable around people.

I like surfing the web and keeping myself updated with the latest happenings in the tech industry. Also, I love promoting the usage and adoption of free and open-source software like WordPress and Firefox.

On weekends, I take out my bike for a ride with my friends. It helps keep me sane and gives me the much-needed break I need from the digital world (computers and the internet, duh).

Why I started this blog

At first, I started this blog to learn WordPress and keep track of whatever I learned by publishing it on this site. Later, it started receiving some traffic and people were looking at my site to get their WP queries resolved.

This gave me an idea and I converted it to a personal blog cum WordPress resource site where I can share my knowledge as well as keep everyone posted of the latest happenings in my life.

The mandatory conclusion

In my free time, I read books, watch TV shows, and scroll through interesting answers on Quora. I strongly believe that I am the best at whatever I do and no one can stop me from getting what’s mine. I follow a strong policy of steering away far from toxic people instead of putting up with their bullshit.
